Questions
Does it collect IRD numbers or bank details?
No. The welcome email tells your new starter what you need and links to the official Inland Revenue forms, and asks them not to email their IRD number or bank details. You collect them in person or through your payroll app.
Does it write the employment agreement?
No. It reminds you to have a signed agreement before they start, and warns you if it isn't marked as signed. Employment New Zealand's free Employment Agreement Builder is linked in the checklist.
Does it set them up in payroll?
Not in this version. It reminds you to add them to your payroll software before their first pay. If you'd like it to create the payroll record or send the agreement for e-signing, ask us about adding it as part of an install.
Is this legal advice?
No. The emails and checklist cover common New Zealand obligations such as the IR330, the KiwiSaver information pack and 90-day trial periods, with links to the official sources. Check Employment New Zealand or get advice if you're unsure.
I use Outlook. Will it work?
Not yet. It uses Gmail and Google Sheets.
